As a team of four members dedicated to software development, we have faced various challenges while working on our custom ERP project in Odoo. However, with effort and dedication, we have managed to overcome each obstacle and advance towards our key objectives. Here, I share how we achieved these advancements and how we faced the challenges that arose along the way.
Challenges That Drive Us
First Challenge
One of the first challenges was creating the Odoo ERP, customized with the data from our fictional company, including the logo and a visual design coherent with the Dashboard background. We encountered some technical difficulties in adjusting the design parameters to align them with our company's visual identity. However, through collaboration and the use of additional tools, we managed to ensure that the ERP reflected the essence of our project.
Second Challenge
Another major challenge was the inventory module. In this module, we had to create five products, adding photos, prices, and descriptions. It took us longer than planned to decide which products would best represent our company, but after conducting a market analysis, we managed to select the most attractive ones. It was also challenging to adjust the descriptions and visualizations to make them clear and concise.
Creating an online store through the Web Module was undoubtedly an important step in our progress. Choosing a suitable design for the store, aligned with our brand colors, and linking the product inventory were tasks we managed to overcome thanks to prior planning and excellent role distribution among the team members.
In summary, we have learned that teamwork, research, and perseverance are fundamental to overcoming any obstacle in software development. We continue moving forward, ready to face the new challenges that will come in the next stages.
